I was not aware of this recording til I read Kathy Garver's autobiography. She wrote in the book that she couldn't sing on key during the recording session & the producers recommended that she say the lyrics instead of singing them. Turned out great! She is one class act. Lovely & talented !

My parents and I were living in Fountain County, Ind. in 1953-54. I remember going to, I want to say Cooper's Chapel near Crawfordville maybe, to hear the Dixie Four. Even as a 12-year-old kid, I really liked their singing.
